Painters & Waterproofing Contractors in Panorama, Cape Town
Panorama sits on the slope with the whole of the northern suburbs below it, and everything on that slope takes weather from the front.

Older homes, big elevations, decades of paint
Panorama is largely settled 1970s and 1980s stock: face brick and plaster, wide single storey footprints, long low roof pitches and generous eaves. Most of these houses have been painted four or five times, and the layers matter. When a wall carries thirty years of coating and the bottom layer was never a bonding coat, the whole stack lets go together once the top layer cracks and lets water behind it.
So on this side we test adhesion before we specify anything. If the old paint pulls away in sheets, telling you it needs stripping is not upselling. Painting over it is the cheaper thing to do today and the more expensive thing to have done.
The slope, the wind and the flat sections
Being up on the rise means wind driven rain hits the north west face hardest, and it means the flat concrete sections over garages, stoeps and carports on these homes take a beating. Most of them were coated once with a thin acrylic and have been chalking ever since.
Those slabs are exactly where liquid rubber earns its money. Strip what is loose, prime it correctly, reinforce every upstand and outlet, then three coats. One seamless skin, no laps, and it can be recoated in years to come without stripping again.
